The character featured is a rabbit who's drawn in an upmost adorable yet prominent style. The style appeals to the eye because it's not only clean, but refreshing as well. The coloring here is absolutely amazing; the values show thought and care. Each shade is smooth and yet doesn't feel forced like some methods of shading other commonly used. The highlights are placed in very appealing places in relation to the shadow making the character appear bright. It brings a certain life to the character that you'd see only in the utmost professional pieces of work. It feels truly tangible and yet, still has that cartoony feel you can't help but love. I want to reach through the computer screen and give the rabbit a huge hug, because it just feels so possible. Likewise I feel compelled to point out the beautiful detail in the clothing of the character. All the bells and whistles are there and yet you don't get that overwhelming feeling because the artist payed close attention to every single one of the folds, making it feel as if each detail truly belonged there. The mastery of each wrinkle is just mind blowing, adding such strong point to how lively this character feels Another strong point that I just can't ignore is the background. It's so well defined and yet it's dark enough to give the character justice. You can see various detailed landmarks, some trees, the ocean, a reflection of the moon on the ocean some cliff-like structures, the remnants of a dying fire. It takes a lot of talent to create a strong background like this, and still not take away from the character itself. Needless to say, I feel greatly wronged that this picture only has 49 views as I write this. It's a very nicely polished and colorful piece with detail dedicated to all parts of the picture, created by the sheer care and dedication the artist has put-fourth. Even more so is the fact that this artist, brilliant as he is, isn't very recognized on DeviantArt. I feel he deserves so much more attention than he's getting.
